DVM Student Programs

We are a fun, supportive, and team-oriented small animal hospital. Whether you’re seeking observational experience, hands-on work opportunities, or advanced clinical training, our students experience the diverse caseload of a well-established, multi-doctor private practice. Depending on your program level, you will engage in activities ranging from shadowing and workflow observation to active patient care, diagnostic planning, surgical assistance, and comprehensive case management under appropriate supervision.

We seek motivated students at all educational stages who are ready to engage meaningfully, while maintaining our practice’s professional and ethical standards. Our programs accommodate 1st-4th year veterinary students through three distinct pathways: observational visits, paid work-study positions, and clinical externships. All programs require a successful interview process, with compensation and requirements varying by program level. Minimum requirements include:

• Enrolled in accredited DVM program
• In good academic standing
• Authorized to work in the U.S
• Student Liability Insurance (free through SAVMA student membership; for clinical externships only)
