We appreciate the trust you place in us to take care of your pets. Our priority is to support happy, healthy pets every single day, while also protecting the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, we have taken the following precautionary measures to keep our clients and staff as safe as possible during this time:
To comply with social distancing recommendations, only hospital personnel will be allowed inside the hospital. Social distancing is still required in Virginia, and the size of our hospital does not allow for proper client/staff social distancing to be maintained. We expect to continue curbside protocol until at least March 2021. If cases in Virginia decrease significantly before then, we will reassess this policy.
We ask that when you arrive for your appointment, call us from the parking lot at 540-775-6800. A technician will meet you in the parking area and bring your pet into the hospital. We ask that all dogs are on a leash and all cats are in a carrier. If you do not have a leash or carrier with you, please let a staff member know so that we can bring one to your vehicle. Please assist us in taking your pet out of your car when the technician arrives.
The doctor will perform the examination inside our hospital and will call you to discuss their findings. Any treatments that you and the doctor agree upon will be completed. Your pet will be returned to you with a copy of the invoice. A receptionist will complete the checkout process. Any medications, foods or preventatives will then be brought out to you.
If your pet needs food, medication, or preventatives, please order before you run out. When you have been notified your items are available and you are ready to pick them up, you may call us when you arrive and we will bring your pet’s prescription out to your car. We are also happy to ship medications and preventatives to you without any additional shipping charge.
IF YOU ARE ILL OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WHO IS, PLEASE LET US KNOW SO WE CAN MAKE PLANS TO ACCOMMODATE YOU AND YOUR PET SAFELY.
We understand that this is a confusing, anxiety-filled time in our history. Please be assured that we will continue to provide your pet with a safe and comfortable visit. Thank you for your continued trust, support and understanding during these trying times.
If you have any questions or concerns please call our office at 540-775-6800.
Now, as always, our number one goal is to provide the highest quality of care for the pets in our community.
